2023 Key Stage 4 Results

Pupils and staff at Westlands School were extremely pleased with the excellent results our Year 11 pupils gained in 2023.

  • 63% of our pupils achieved a standard pass (grade 4), or higher, in both English and mathematics and 44% achieved a strong pass (grade 5), or higher, in both.

  • Our English results were outstanding with 173 out of 301 students (58% of our cohort) getting a 5 or above and 74% getting 4 or above. Mathematics also performed well with 51% getting a 5 or above and 70% achieving at least a grade 4.

  • Progress 8 and Attainment 8 are the government’s performance measures brought in from 2017. For 2023, the school achieved a Progress 8 figure of 0.02 and an attainment 8 figure of 44.5.

For attainment 8, these are our strongest KS4 outcomes since the changeover to the new 9-1 specifications and demonstrate how hard-working and dedicated our Year 11 cohort was.
