At Westlands School, we are purposefully teaching students three specific techniques to manage effective study habits and routines. In addition, we build teaching of effective revision strategies into our classroom practice as early as possible.

This booklet outlines the three revision techniques we recommend so you can help and support your child as they manage their learning independently.

Students will learn how to create and use Cornell Notes, Flash Cards and how to best utilise practice questions and past papers.

There are many other useful revision techniques, but we believe that, by training our students to effectively use these three, we are giving them a head start in developing strong, foundational study habits that will benefit them throughout their academic careers and beyond.
