Transition from primary to secondary school is an important milestone in a young person's life.  At Westlands, we are committed to supporting young people and their parents and carers in making this transition as enjoyable as possible.

To help our new Year 7 students adapt to life at Westlands we offer a full Transition Week in July where your son/daughter will come to the school and follow a typical Year 7 timetable.  This will give them the opportunity to practise their journey into school, familiarise themselves with the school layout, meet the staff who will be working with them next year and, most importantly, make new friends.  This year, our Transition Week runs from Monday 7th to Friday 11th July.

We will also be hosting a Transition Evening on Thursday 3rd July for new parents/carers, so that you can meet the teams who will be working with your child, find out information about Transition Week and ask any remaining questions you may have.  Parents and carers will receive an invitation to the Transition Evening via Admissions+.
