Trips Update 2025

What an incredible year for trips at Westlands!  Our students have truly broadened their horizons, embarking on a diverse range of adventures that brought learning to life. From inspiring theatre productions like Wicked at the Apollo to vital GCSE and A-Level Geography fieldwork at Reculver, the Olympic Park, and Herne Bay, they've gained invaluable hands-on experience.

A huge highlight was our Iceland trip where 30 Geography students witnessed breathtaking landscapes and took part in thrilling outdoor activities – an unforgettable educational experience! Our Sixth Formers explored future possibilities at the UCAS fair and our CACHE students bravely joined the 'Accelerate Action' debate for International Women's Day. Plus, our Young Farmers continued their fantastic work, excelling in competitions and as school ambassadors.

It wasn't just about subject-specific learning; students also enjoyed workshops at the No Limits Careers Fair, gained artistic inspiration at Tate Britain, and were motivated by top scientists at Science Live! And let's not forget the vibrant Swale Academies Trust events like Swale Dance Fever, Linguafiesta, and Shakesfest, where our students shone and truly embodied our RADAR values. What a year of growth, exploration, and making incredible memories!
