Welcome to the Drama Department at the Westlands School. The department is a high achieving and forward looking one, that places great emphasis on the development of the pupils both in the Drama classroom and across the curriculum.

Drama is essential for the development of pupils at Westlands. It encourages strong communication skills that are undeniably necessary for success both in Drama and in the world of work.

Through Drama, pupils are able to explore complex contemporary issues that relate to their own personal, moral, cultural and spiritual development. Issues are explored at the same time as learning key dramatic techniques that will be essential to the study of Drama at GCSE and A Level.
