Dance at Key stage 3 is taught by the PE department

The main teacher for Key stage 4 is Mrs McLoughlin who is the head of dance.

Mrs McLoughlin has worked at Westlands for 6 years and has worked hard to develop dance into a department in its own rite. Mrs McLouglin trained to be a dance teacher and is qualified to teach all elements of dance. She then trained to be a PE teacher at university in Cardiff .

Mrs Smyth is a peripatetic teacher who comes in to teach some of the more specialist elements of the schemes of work. She is a qualified dance teacher and also works in a stage school in Maidstone . Mrs Smyth also helps run the extra curricular clubs
