UNIT 1 Practical examination Pupils are required to choreograph and perform a solo dance, chosen from specific tasks set by the exam board. |

UNIT 2 Coursework essay Pupils are required to provide an analysis of their solo dance created for unit 1. This is presented in the form of an essay that looks at all the important parts of the choreography |

UNIT 3 Written exam Pupils are required to answer questions based on the dancer's experience in training, as a performer and as an audience, and will draw on their knowledge of one set work. |

UNIT 4 Practical exam Pupils are required to choreograph a group dance, chosen from specific tasks set by the exam board. |

UNIT 5 Practical exam This unit is divided up into two questions the first is the performance of a set dance while the second question tests the pupils ability to read and perform a labanotation score. |
