Canteen Services
At Westlands, we provide the pupils with three services per day.
Breakfast Club
Open from 8am until the pips, this service has become very popular with the pupils and also some staff.
Rachel Cope, who runs the Breakfast Club, is very dedicated and has attended a course relating to school breakfast clubs and the guidelines. As well as serving the pupils, she chats to them and also provides them with magazines to read over their breakfast.
It is a social occasion which has a relaxed atmosphere, and ensures that pupils who have to get to school early, have something to eat to aid their concentration in a safe environment.
Break-time
A different hot snack item each day, plus freshly baked and filled baguettes, sandwiches, rolls, wraps, fresh fruit and fruit drinks. Hot chocolate is available in the winter months.
Lunch-time
A hot menu consisting of a main meal, either meat or vegetarian, served with vegetables, potatoes , rice or pasta, jacket potatoes with various fillings, and a hot traditional pudding.
A main meal and a pudding is only £2.10, which is excellent value for money.
Also available are sandwiches, baguettes, rolls, wraps, fresh fruit, fresh fruit salad, and cold drinks.
